Meet Derin

I'm Derin. I spent a decade in finance before I became a wedding planner, which means I plan with structure as well as taste: a live budget, clear forecasting, and steady oversight, so decisions stay intentional and nothing catches you off guard.

I know this world from the inside. I planned my own Polish-Nigerian European wedding - two cultures, guests from multiple countries, a full weekend celebration across borders - and I could not find a planner who understood what that actually required. So I became her.

That is the foundation of everything I do. You are not a woman who needs assembling. Your roots, your tastes, your values, your people already cohere. My job is not to fit them together. It is to design a European celebration that can hold all of it, exactly as it already is.

Most of my brides live in the UK, the US, Australia, Asia or across Africa, planning a wedding weekend across Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Poland or the UK, from wherever they are. The planning stays just as steady from four thousand miles away as it would from four. I have walked the winding paths of historic estates across Tuscany and stood in Portuguese quintas at the hour the light turns gold, so my brides don't have to. I don't recommend a venue I haven't stood in myself.

Then there is the part I love most: making a wedding actually look like the woman getting married. A palette should suit you, not a trend. The flowers should mean something - where he proposed, your first date, your grandmother's garden - not a European florist's idea of what a ‘diaspora wedding’ should look like. I don't design around your heritage. I design from it. I work with the best local vendors, artists, and hospitality teams across Europe to ensure every detail reflects exactly who you are.

I don't just plan your event. I understand what it means to you. And I will hold that meaning with the same care I brought to my own.
