Daria and Paul's wedding - A family vacation - styled European Celebration

From the very beginning, Daria and Paul knew what they wanted: a wedding that didn’t just celebrate their love, but created meaningful connection between their two families; Polish and Nigerian, in a way that felt like one big, joyful family vacation.

With a guest list that included 100% Nigerian family and friends who didn’t speak Polish, and 90% Polish guests who didn’t speak English, their wedding could’ve easily felt divided. But it didn’t. As their planner, my mission was clear: to create a joyful, cohesive experience that transcended every language and cultural barrier, while still feeling undeniably personal to the couple.

So we found them the perfect setting: a peaceful European palace with lush gardens to host all 40 of their closest loved ones on-site, instantly creating the intimate, family-vacation vibe they wanted. For three days, this became their shared home, where love, laughter, and music never ran out.

I sourced a bilingual DJ who masterfully blended Nigerian hits with Polish bangers, reading the room in real-time to keep energy high and hearts full. For food, we brought in an in-house chef who prepared traditional Nigerian and Polish dishes, and given that their wedding dinner was Italian-themed, a nod to their love for Italian home-cooked meals, we sourced an external chef who executed a beautiful Italian-themed wedding dinner, complete with personal twists like pasta dishes fused with spices and ingredients from both cultures.

The couple’s personality shone in the details; rather than a traditional menu, we designed something truly personal: custom menu stationery that told their love story through food, and how each one played a part in their relationship. Guests didn’t just read a menu, they read the couple’s story.

For place settings, we added a surprise: each seat featured an old photo of that guest, carefully selected to spark smiles and memories. It wasn’t just charming, it brought people together before the first toast was even made.

This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a fusion of culture, family, and joy, proof that with the right planning, a destination wedding in Europe can be just as meaningful, seamless, and inclusive as one at home.
